About Jonathan

I'm a Los Angeles-based composer. My film scores include New Line's CYBER WARS (David Warner, Joan Chen), ITN's OUIJA HOUSE (Tara Reid, Mischa Barton) and INOPERABLE (Danielle Harris), American World Pictures' NECROSIS (James Kyson Lee, George Stults, Tiffany), Screen Media Films' GIRL MEETS BOY (Ben Savage) and Showtime's RUSTIN (Meat Loaf, Zachery Ty Bryan). My opera THE LION & THE WOOD NYMPH was a winner of New Opera Works' OIAM competition, and my pentaptych opera ÆSOPERA is the recipient of the American Composers Forum Subito grant. I'm currently scoring CLOWN MOTEL 2 (Tony Moran, Ari Lehman) and THE CADDY (Ron Perlman), as well as a big band score for the documentary DANCING DADS.

I've composed the music to national spots for Taco Bell, Marshalls, , as well as Knott's Berry Farm. With playwright/lyricist Jeff Goode (The Eight: Reindeer Monologues), I composed the song "The Hubba Hubba Hula" for The Disney Channel's AMERICAN DRAGON: JAKE LONG, as well as the family musical RUMPELSTILTSKIN, published by Samuel French. My chamber compositions have been recorded by the ensemble Carisma for seven releases on the ABC Classics label.

Unique traits: My strengths are orchestral and chamber compositions, but I have a lot of experience in electronic/musique concrète/quirky/jazz/rock soundtracks as well.
