Samantha/Allison Garcia

Hello Stage32 Community!

Hi Stage32 army! We hope you are well :) I'm Allison (on the left) and I'm Samantha (obviously on the right!) but we're better known as the Garcia Sisters. We are authors and screenwriters for the horror genre. We are proud to be part of the Stage32 family, we have learnt so much being here, we've made amazing connections and wonderful friends.

Currently, we are working on a horror-thriller anthology series titled Monstra. What are you working on? What are you currently reading/watching?

We just finished watching Squid Game...intense! I'm (Allison) re-reading Scream by Kevin Williamson and Samantha is reading Fargo - season 1 - by Noah Hawley. When we're not writing, we're reading and vice versa. Let's connect! Lovely to meet all of you.

Ophir Zonicle

Hey guys!!!! I am also working on a horror short called The Stop Over.....horror/thrillers genres are my favorite. Just finished watching Squid Game which gave me such a burst of inspiration and the storytelling was just superb!!!!!!!!

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Ophir Zonicle The title of your story sounds great, we’re intrigued! Yes, Squid Games was great we binged watched in a week!

Josh Pagan

Nice I am too working on 2 horror films atm. One short and the other a feature. Also I haven't started squid game, I feel like the only one in the world who hasn't seen it

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Garcia Sisters. Nice to see you two again on here.

I'm currently writing a contained feature script.

Shanika Freeman

Hello Allison and Samantha. Nice to meet you both :) Ohh, I am such a scary cat when it comes to watching horror haha (I love scoring horror films and games though haha). I agree,, Squid Game was intense. Alice in Borderland is also an interesting show in the same genre.

Ophir Zonicle

Samantha/Allison Garcia Really Thank you! Would love to share the logline with you, if you are okay with that. I watched all in a matter of three days lol I couldn't escape I was hooked!!!!!

Tasha Lewis

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Josh Pagan that's awesome! And Squid Game was great! We lost many hours of sleep wanting to see how would it all end!

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Shanika Freeman Yes! Alice in Borderland was great, especially the running scene in the tunnel!!

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Ophir Zonicle oh yes please! We'd love to read it! And we definitively agree with Squid Game - the whole time we were wondering: how is this going end?!

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Angela Cristantello So lovely to meet you, too! We absolutely love being part of Stage32 :)

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Tasha Lewis Thank you so much and so lovely to meet and connect with you :) How exciting about your current project?! All the very, very BEST!!!

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Colette "ByFilms" Byfield Thank you so much, much appreciated!! Lovely to meet and connect with you :)

Stefano Pavone

Welcome to the club. :)

Debbie Croysdale

Welcome. I seen you both before somewhere. "Monstra" sounds intriguing, I'm working on a horror, trilogy of pulps, rom com and a thriller.

Are you sticking to the anthology as film or turning into novel or other transmedia tools?

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Hi Debbie! We're sticking to anthology tv series at the moment, that way we can be creative and change the story and keep it interesting, we have adapted Monstra from our first published book titled The Door, we just made a few changes that we thought would translate better on screen

Bill Albert

Welcome. If you have any questions just ask.

Jacob Whitley

Sounds fun. I'm currently wrapping up a COVID documentary.

Joanna Karselis

Welcome to you both, so good to see other women working in horror on here! Monstra sounds like a cool concept, hope you can tell us all more about it at some point. I haven't watched Squid Games yet but I'm so excited to hopefully start it this coming weekend, everyone seems to be saying amazing things about it. I'm currently finishing up a horror short score (imagine Inside Out but make it slasher/gore) and reading Kafka's The Castle. What's the Fargo book like? Intrigued to know as the film/series have been brilliant.

Ophir Zonicle

Samantha/Allison Garcia ok great so like I said the name of it is The Stop Over - During a stopover flight, a high school graduate is stuck in an abrupt seven day lockdown. Broke & uncertain, she reluctantly accepts a generous offer to stay at a local (BNB) Bed & Breakfast but little does she know surviving a lockdown will be the least of her worries would love to hear your feedback on it, if I need to make changes, what I can do to make it better. I am all ears!!!!!

Woodrow Wilkins

You know, the Brothers Grimm also have a "G" in their last name. Just sayin'. Welcome aboard, Sisters.

John Mezes

Hi Allison & Samantha Garcia! Wonderful to meet you both! Welcome to Stage 32! I'm a horror buff myself, and it's my go to genre as well. Currently, I'm working on a feature action/thriller titled "The Trail ", and a TV pilot titled "" P.I.T " (Paranormal Investigative Team). Anthology Horror is a favorite of mine, going back as far as Dead of Night 1945, Torture Garden 1967, The House that Dripped Blood 1971, and Asylum 1972. I think it's great that you're tackling this endeavor of yours. Keep me informed and let's chat, anytime. Success is so much sweeter when we all achieve it together!

Kinney Scott

awesome and welcome aboard

Samantha/Allison Garcia

Ophir Zonicle love the title "The Stop Over" ! we really like that at the start, the protagonist has already so much "against" her like being broke, she's uncertain of her surroundings, and is stuck in a seven day lockdown - every travelers worst nightmare! We're wondering if something more dangerous is about to happen in the generous bnb?? We're intrigued!! We can see horror, action and survival all wrapped up here! Maybe give a hint of what's so sinister about the bnb or what she's up against? This is a story we'd love to see!

Ophir Zonicle

Samantha/Allison Garcia yes there is some danger that awaits her at the bnb...okay love the feedback I will definitely try to incorporate that into the logline...I would love to keep you guys updated with script development at it progresses, if that's okay with you
