Who is Randy Rhythm?
Earliest musical influence was Dad’s brother. A drummer for a dance band.
Watching him play opened a world of music fostering appreciation for raw musical talent and ability.
in the early 60's...
another Cool uncle who became like a stepfather... cars, snowmobiling, canoeing...
and listening to Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers, Elvis, Chuck Berry... a lot of the Rhythm and Blues from that era.
an older sister who played the accordion and an organ in the house led to musical play and exploration
Moved by music, guitar lessons at 7 years old... Unfortunately when a guitar was in the house it somehow ended up broken.
Became immersed in Rock, Blues and Jazz…
Listening to bands like Queen, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Tommy Bolin, Jimi Hendrix... led into King's X, Ty Tabor, Phil Keaggy...
Before the times of the Air Band popularity part of a Kiss Tribute 'Lip Syncing Air Band'
Successfully performing 2 consecutive years for the annual 'Miss Strathcona Dance'
For its time as teenagers it was a KISS show... complete with pyrotechnics, drum riser, fog, a smoking guitar and blood.
Children of 70's Rock and lived it.
If a common thread to the music of influence exists it would be soul inspiring lyrics with a great beat and fantastic vibe.
Something that moves one from a primal place deep within.
Was active in everything from setup, tear-down, lights, sound, art, radio/dance DJ...
Sang a few times during some practice/jam sessions.
It took a significant turn with the loss of (Living, Coping, Breathing...Ben) with his inspiration a spark became flame
So today... what you are hearing has been many years waiting within...
You can call it music from the streets...
for me it is Mental Health Music that will Rock your mind...
