About Matthew

I was born and raised in the Bronx and studied film production at the City University of New York. Denis Hamill of the New York Daily News likened my first feature film, Wrestlemaniac, to "This Is Spinal Tap meets indie Pro--wrestling."

I recently optioned a television project, which I created, to Cineflix Studios and shortly thereafter I became disabled from an injury. But I never stopped writing.

While in recovery, and unsure if I would be able to hold a camera again, I taught myself some 2D animation to continue telling stories visually.

It is my wish to get behind the camera again someday and help other disabled filmmakers, disabled actors and disabled writers find their way.

In 2019 I was able to co-write and co-direct a multi-award winning short film called THE ICE WOLF QUEEN. Check it out on Amazon Prime.
