About Kim

KIM HORNSBY is a Produced Screenwriter, a USA Today Bestselling Author, and the recipient of over 20 screenwriting awards in Suspense, Thriller, Family and Rom Com categories. As a Storyteller and Film Producer, her Short Thriller, CHAT, is currently touring the film festival circuit and her Family Adventure, BRAVING RAPIDS, will be released summer 2024. Development has begun for Kim’s screenplay CHRISTMAS IN CRYSTAL CREEK and her optioned Thriller, THE DREAM JUMPER’S PROMISE, is in Development. Traveling to writer conferences to teach, Kim encourages women in film and the notion that writers can pen both novels and scripts.
Living on a forested acreage on an island off Seattle with her rescue dog, Kim’s favorite protagonist to write is a gutsy heroine who fends for herself and survives everything thrown at her with ingenuity and a big dose of hope.
