About Todd

Todd Lituchy has worked in television for 30 years, holding senior management positions across three continents.

During the first phase of his career, Todd quickly rose through the ranks at Walt Disney Studios in Los Angeles. As head of research for Touchstone Television, Todd worked on Home Improvement and the ground-breaking Ellen. In 1997, Todd was recruited by UPN’s CEO to run Program Planning & Acquisitions for the network. Todd was instrumental in adding Buffy The Vampire Slayer, WWE Smackdown, and The Hughleys to UPN’s line-up which, in turn, helped build UPN image and ratings.

In 2003, Lituchy joined Viasat Broadcasting’s entertainment division (now known as Nordic Entertainment Group). Based in London, he oversaw Program Planning, Acquisitions and Commissioning for Viasat’s free and pay TV channels throughout Europe (30 countries). Nicknamed the “format guru,” Todd commissioned the first adaptations worldwide of Wife Swap, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, You Are What You Eat, and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.

Todd was then recruited to run the creative departments of News Corps’ Asian TV operations. As President of Entertainment for STAR TV (50+ countries in Asia), he relocated to Hong Kong and helped build profits and ratings for the group.

Lituchy returned to London in 2009 to start New Media Vision. NMV is a boutique media-consulting company that provides assistance in programming, acquisitions, formats and distribution. NMV’s clients include Discovery, BBC Worldwide, A&E Networks, Disney, Lionsgate, MTV, Chernin Entertainment, and Providence Equity Partners.

Representing scripted and unscripted formats from around the globe, NMV has had projects in development with Sony/Carol Mendelsohn (CSI), Electus/Ben Silverman (The Office), ABC Studios/Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy), The Farrelly Brothers (There’s Something About Mary), Mark Burnett/MGM, Smart Dog Productions, and Gaumont.

Lituchy served as Executive Producer on The Mysteries of Laura for Warner Bros. The Mysteries of Laura starred Debra Messing and Josh Lucas and was NBC’s most viewed new series of the 2014-15 season. Lituchy also served as EP on Zoltan the Wolf Man for Discovery.

In 2021, Lituchy has projects in development with CBS, where he is partnering on a family sitcom with Aaron Kaplan, NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, and Dan Kopelman (Malcolm in the Middle); CBS Studios, where he is partnering with Eric Christian Olsen (NCIS: Los Angeles) on a teen “coming of age” project; and Sony, where he is partnering with Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor and Bates Motel) on a multigenerational family drama.

In 2015, NMV was shortlisted as International Production Company of the Year by TBI magazine. In 2017, NMV opened a US office and Todd moved back to LA after 13 years abroad.

Lituchy has an MBA from Columbia University, with a concentration in TV and Film Management.
