Flash bulbs

In 1930's, 1940's, 1950's period films - where now a daze - do they get the flash bulbs for the 4x5 press cameras popping away.... ??? . thx

These folks were still making them when I was last in touch with them a few years ago. http://www.meggaflash.com.

Obviously that would be if you need to see the actual bulb flashing. If not, LED flashes inserted into the reflector of the flash unit would likely be better, and more controllable, as part of a scene.

Shooting with a camera that has a global shutter is important in these circumstances.

And, do avoid buying the "used only once" bulbs from Ebay.
