Introduce Yourself : Eliane Aylestock - the rooky by Eliane Aylestock

Hey there guys, i'm a small-time screenwriter, producer and director. A few months ago I acquired a position in a local tv station as a journalist and moviemaker. I am quite the go-getter. I had a dream of going to Cannes Festival for five years but had no means to get there nor the experience. I then created a short film named 'Perte d'identité' ( Identity loss ) decided to send it and i saw myself selected for the Short Film Corner at Cannes, this year, so I was absolutely thrilled. It was a totally lifetime changing experience and i encourage anyone to send their short film to festivals and attend them, because they are absolutely great for contacts. Since I went to Cannes Festival, I met another director whois interested in my next scenario and we might collaborate and make a France-Quebec collaboration. Also speaking of Festivals, I have launched a Film Festival known as 'Festival du Film Independant de Saint-Sauveur' My goal, like many other female directors, is to stand up in the industry and be recognized for my talent. There are few many names that resonate, maybe Sofia Coppola who's 'Marie-Antoinette' really struck me for the attention to details ( costumes, scenery, settings ) Please feel free to make me discover other renowned female directors and give recommandations as you like.
