SYNOPSIS:

Nina NANO HIGHLY ADVANCED, MILITARY-GRADE NANOBOT DEFENSIVE WEAPON SYSTEM... Small package. In the award-winning* family, action, comedy script 'Nina NANO', a complex arsenal of high-tech, military grade nanobot defensive weaponry is turned loose inside the body of a short, multi-phobic 13-year-old high school freshman. Mistaken for her fallen combat veteran father, Nina Richards becomes a home for the microscopic Nano-1 spacecraft and its skeleton crew of three. Nina finds the idea of a tiny freshman being tasked with saving the world hysterical. She refuses to assist the Nano-1 crew in stopping a mechanized villain named Alloy until giant metal Junk Roaches attack her school. Nina quickly learns that Alloy is after the powerful nanobots she carries, and that if he gets a hold of just one and splices it with his less-efficient, patchwork mechanoids he could create a sinister army and conquer the world. Driven by her late father’s heroism and love, Nina changes her diet, gets in shape, integrates with the nanobot arsenal and enlists the help of her genius gamer friend Jason to battle Alloy’s deadly machines. Nina’s biggest weakness is that nanobots respond to emotions, and if her fear surfaces during the final battle it will surely be the end of us all. *WINNER of the Silver Prize in the 2013 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards
