A far-off planet is attacked by intergalactic goons led by Rha who seek a mysterious amulet that possesses powers. The King and Queen of the planet are murdered by Rha and his men shortly after they transport the amulet to a “blue” planet in another universe—Earth.

Theopolous “Theo” is a rotund kid, who’s adopted and just wants to be accepted sits on the park bunch and drinks his everyday Slurpee.

When Theo and several other kids (Uly, Lilly and Shawn) are kicked out of auditions for the Z-Men, a local superhero organization, they form a group called “The Rejects” and set out to fight local crimes in their neighborhood.

Theo and company take on their first group of criminals at a local liquor store. Lilly notices that they belong to the local gang called The Crown.

Theo and the gang continue to fight local crimes and encounter more members of The Crown. However, despite having superpowers, Theo and the gang are vulnerable to bullying.

Rha and his men arrive at Earth and begin to recruit local thugs as part of their gang.

Rha and his men seize the amulet and use it to transform their men into fighting zombies.

Shawn grabs a few capsules of the serum after Dr. Kilroy dies.

The gang has improved fighting skills after watching Bruce Lee and old martial arts movies. They create costumes and take to the streets and can beat local thugs with ease.

Rha continues to use the amulet to turn more civilians into zombies. Local superheroes try to intervene but are defeated by his power.

Theo and the gang meet Mark, who was a part of Rha’s gang until they killed his brother. Mark trains them to fight. The gang’s powers are enhanced when they take the capsules of serum retrieved by Shawn at the laboratory.

The gang concocts a plan to defeat Rha using local police and the armed forces.

The gang and Mark get on board Rha’s ship and battle to get to the amulet.

Meanwhile an epic ensues between Rha’s men and the local forces.

While Rha is loading his amulet-infused weapon for one final blow, Mark comes from behind and kills him.

The Avengers join in the fight for one final effort and can overthrow the bad guys.

The Avengers recognize The Rejects as honorary superheroes.

Though Luke is still sad over the loss of Ben and his family, he has found a place among the Rebels, and with them, he will continue to fight the Empire.

Theo and the gang return to school as heroes and eat lunch at their usual table unharmed.
