My true story begins on October 31, 1980, on a Halloween night in a disco, called Club Inferno. We are looking for 6 movie extras that will participate in being part of my feature film Portal to Hell. The film project is for free! There is no pay, movie and college credits only! The entity that he is dealing with is playing tricks on his mind, and there is no way out. Everywhere he goes, he is being followed by an unforeseen force. Will he escape his own madness and finally, be free? Based on the adaptation of Portal to Hell.

Casting call for a short horror film, The Lost Camp. Unpaid, non-union, passion project. There will be two production days.. Production day 1 will shoot on July 10th. Date for Production day 2 (will be shot in CT in August) is TBA. Phase 1 Location will be just over the CT border in MA, at a beautiful lakeside campground. Scenes will be exteriors. Plot: Three boys at a sleepaway summer camp discover an abandoned town that is home to a dark spirit, intent on vengeance. We are casting for three characters; Christian, Luke and Dustin. Must be 18 years old, able to present as 16. Christian – A natural leader. He is adventurous, in shape, and doesn’t care about following camp rules. Christian is friends with Luke and vibes with him well. He thinks Dustin is a bit of a nerd, but he’s polite to him because Christian is an inclusive person. Luke – Much like Christian he's adventurous, in shape, and doesn’t care about following camp rules. He is friends/vibes well with Christian, but he can be really obnoxious and immature at times. Luke also finds Dustin to be somewhat annoying (since he also considers him to be nerdy and doesn’t like that Dustin cares about following the rules.) He often makes fun of Dustin. Dustin - Heavy set, out of shape, the "third wheel." Dustin, isn’t very adventurous and is someone who cares about following the rules. He is often reluctant to follow the other two, but he desperately wants to fit in. Dustin is a smart kid who likes to spend time on the internet, researching interesting facts, often “breaking the rules” by visiting underground blogs/websites on the dark web. He struggles a bit with the morality of it, but his deep knowledge makes him resourceful. Non-union only please. My play about refugee women in the Isle Of Man’s enemy alien camp during 1940, has its R&D booked Jul 8-12. HERTA: 30-35 German Jewish refugee. Haughty, pensive, maternal. EDITH: 30-35 German Jewish refugee. Nervous, relieved, naive. All roles have emotional depths, but Edith in partic has to comfortably portray emotional extremes. GERTRUDE: 27-35 German nurse. Friendly, secretive, arrogant. GISELE: 30-35 Black/Mixed Heritage German refugee. Hardened, kind, funny. Due to their unspoken journeys I partic welcome actors from Jewish/Refugee/Queer/Incarcerated backgrounds. Contact details below to ensure you’ve read fiddly bits… Me: I’m a Jewish/Irish comedian. (Herta is my grandmother) Thrown By Giants is my 1st drama, developed with Young Vic Writers. The R&D will be filmed for my notes & to create a trailer to secure paid productions- you can use footage for showreels/socials. Project: The July R&D will be followed by a staged rehearsed reading 8-14 Nov. Ideally I’d like same cast but realise the problems securing this. Ages: As I’m asking a favour & it’s R&D I’m flexible with ages! Herta & Edith are parents of teens & mums would be partic useful for the research period- finding modern actors with teens of the same age mums would be in ‘40 will always be a challenge! Gisele needs to be believably trying to conceive. Gertie can be any age, late 20’s is historically accurate. Accent: Actors speak in their own accents for most of the play. German accents sporadically & for R&D not essential, though we will play with portraying communication barriers. Gisele: I’ve been conscious throughout of problems in a white writer creating a Black/Mixed character. I’ve worked with a professor of Black Germany, based her on a real woman & had Black dramaturgs & sensitivity reads. As there are Nazis in the play the language is stark- but I am very keen for the actor playing her to take ownership of the language & characterisation and help me portray events within creative safety & authenticity. Background: The welcomed backgrounds are not essential, just useful, as are many others. The roles already cast have Jewish/Refugee/Queer background so rep. Is present, but I’ve already had 2 people on the project make unthinking anti semitic remarks, so having knowledge of the world of the play is helpful. 3 friends goofing off in the afternoon the sun is still up, fall is here the leaves shine brightly in the light. There is some time spent showing the characters and them walking from different angles. The sun starts to wane. The friends lose track of time and the ghost is introduced as a white figure far off and one character has a double take moment but thinks they are seeing things and are tired from walking. Others poke around that they are going crazy. Discussion ensues. Then it is brought up that they should head back. The map is checked. But they realize that the only map they brought with them is damaged and they don't remember which way is the way back. They decide to do a backpack check 2 flashlights. Good. only 1 extra set of batteries( they don't work/ are dead). One friend partially remembers the last hour or so way back they start in that direction. Camera pans away to spot in trees farther away. Something is watching them. Camera is shown from different angles while they walk. Evening ensures. At one point one friend sneaks away to go jump scare the other 2. At the exact moment afterwards they get jumpscared from the other a distant stick crack is heard far back. Then they call out " Hello? Anyone out there?" Silence.. long. Long silence. Wind. Followed by awkward camera angles. They rock paper scissors, one friend goes to check it out. After disappearing for sometime they get concerned call out a few times. No reply? Again. Nothing.. then they both go check it out. By now it is pretty much dusk. Footprints and branch breaks lead to a swamp and nothing. Suddenly from the path a light source is switched on. And starts moving further down the path. They call out to it. Nothing. Then there is a chase to go catch up with it thinking its the friend. When they are just about to reach the light it extinguishes. Oddly enough. But then whoever was lighting left their shoes. The shoes are bloody. They are friends shoes. Realization sets in and they are freaked out. And start running. At one point they both see a ghostly apparition its their friend but in its place of a head just black. More panic! Next scene they make it to a small bridge over a stream and decide to wait a bit to catch their breath. It was all a dream there was no third friend. Yet they still remember that they came the 3 of them.

Do you have an interest in creating a variety of characters who are very different from who you and I are? I have a real life setting that I think has great potential. Again, this is at the level of let's see if we can create something for fun, yet with the intention to complete it. The characters will be generally off the radar, anti establishment types. Since this is just developing, there is no location requirement. I'm open to ideas and working with good people. POSITIVE vibes always please. No roadblocks. MUST be within a workable time zone to eastern USA. Here is a potential extended logline to give you an idea of the track I'm on. People say living in American is freedom. It isn't. This... is freedom. No electicity, no government, and nobody is turned away. Claim your spot, and live your life... off the grid. Slab City. The snowbirds and the squatters. A miniseries about a squatter's paradise an those who live there. Some of my influences are Rob Zombie, Rob Reiner, David Lynch, David Chase, Ben Stiller. This is based on the Slab City CA squatter's paradise and building a show around that. I have visited there extensively and it deserves a story.
