Anything Goes : Pitch Deck by Stuart Haag

Pitch Deck

How necessary is a Pitch Deck, and if I choose to include one in my pitch, how should it be structured and what should it include?

Basically, what would a potential director/producer look for in a pitch deck?

Maurice Vaughan

A pitch deck isn't necessary, but it can help you pitch a project, Stuart Haag. And sometimes producers and directors require pitch decks.

TV pitch decks are usually longer than feature pitch decks. That's because a TV pitch deck has things like Season 1 Episodes (loglines or very short summaries of the episodes) that a feature pitch deck doesn't need.

Richard Lamb posted a link to his pitch deck in the Screenwriting Lounge and asked for feedback (www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting/Need-some-feedback-on-my-first-Pitc...). You could see how he formatted his pitch deck.

And here's a great webinar on putting together a pitch deck (www.stage32.com/webinars/How-to-Put-Together-a-Perfect-Pitch-Deck-for-yo...). It's taught by Michelle Alexandria. She really knows her stuff about pitch decks. I've worked with her on pitch deck jobs.

Stage 32 also has other Education about pitch decks (www.stage32.com/education/search?term=Pitch%20deck).

Thank you! I will look further into this.
