Composing : Composer Needed by Robert Sean Campbell

Composer Needed

Hey all. I have a feature length film about coercion and the morality of technology. The film is in the can and a final festival cut has been finished. The only thing I am missing is a composer that "gets" the movie. We are looking for an "ominous vibrancy" - something along the lines of the score to John Caarpenters "Prince of Darkness" soundtrack. The only issue is that we have a very limited budget and would need to work on a deferred payment contract, which is not ideal. On another note, this film is something original, well acted, and very well written. It will do something.

Check out this kid! He's a genius!!!!!!!!! He scored a short for me, just based on some discussions!!! ( I'm in Florida, he's in Cali ) He is also a member on here. Tell him I sent you!!!! http://www.justinschuoler.com/

Hi Robert, The subject matter 'coercion and morailty of technology' is something that interests me and it would be great to see some footage of your film to get an idea of what you have done - is there anywhere to see some? I am a composer based in the UK but have experience working remotely. You can hear some samples of my work at: http://soundcloud.com/opusmelodi. There are many more examples if you would like to hear them. Basically I can write in any style. 'Getting' movies is something I do very well, and the fact that you say your movie is 'orginal' also floats my boat! Hope to hear from you. Yours, Dale Sumner.

Kerry Lloyd Whitehouse

Hello Robert, I have scored mainly horror films to be honest and am working on a new new tv show.To be honest the show is not being shot until late next year and i'm hungry to do something completely different in the meantime.I am sure nonetheless you,ll find a great composer here. thank you and best of luck, www.kerrylloydwhitehouse.com

I recommend Jim Powell, as he did a dynamite job on The Further Adventures Of... and you can find him on Facebook.

Gonzalo Garcia Santos

Hi Robert. My passion is to transmit emotions with music. My fort is the creativity. I am employed very well at equipment and catch immediately what the producer wants to count. My music mates perfectly to the images. Feel free to check out my web: http://www.gonzalogarciasantos.com/en/2012/08/un-corto-de-cine-negro-mor... Best

Robert - I always like John stepping-in as composer on his own films and in this case working with Alan. If you have not found your composer please include me on your list for consideration. You can listen to my work at http://www.russwhitelockmusic.com/scores.html best with your project - Russ Whitelock

Id be interested in hearing more details. I have produced instrumental music for 9 years and would certainly like to see some clips of the film to get an idea of what you're looking for.

Agatha Hergest

I've been told I can write a catchy tune. I also believe people who say I'm quite intellectually appointed. Thusly, can being able to "get" the ominous vibrancy of the technology and coercion dangers be very far away?

James Holzrichter

Why not add myself to the wonderful list of talent :) A very good selection of music on my reel here at stage 32. Let me know if you would like some or some new.

I'm sorry, with due respect, music has a fingerprint for a movie just as a punchline has as with "Go Ahead Make My Day" belongs to Dirty Harry. If the movie is original so too should the music be.An artist translates what he sees on screen to the twirls, candescence and movements of the piece. It is not practical to write something on the lines of something else for the above reasons. I would suggest putting a teaser up first and then inviting composers to find the fingerprint that fits.

Brad Hord

Hello Robert. Please consider me for original scoring for your upcoming project. I've been scoring indie films for the past six years and have been a musician for too many years to admit. Please take a listen to my samples and also take a look at my resume. Love to work with you ------- Brad Hord http://www.stage32.com/profile/13334/reel

Hey all! Thank you so much for all the love! We have actually decided to start working with a couple people...but I really appreciate the time you all took to respond! There will definitely be more of these opportunities and I will let you all know of the success of the film! -Rob

Hi Rob, it’s so nice for a change to actually get a reply!! So many times (on other online platforms) people have placed ads like yours, get loads of replies (obviously!) and the sender never has the decency to get back to anyone. So, once again - thanks! As for your film, well done in finding your composers, I hope it goes well and 'may the Force be with you'! I will keep up to date with the project and I would certainly welcome an opportunity to work with you on future projects. Dale.

Andrew Scott Foust
