About Shaleen

Shaleen is an actor, producer, writer, and director within the film industry. One of her films she wrote called "Maternal Love" screened at the Havana Theatre in Vancouver, BC in 2019 and it is selected to screen at the Toronto International Nollywood Film festival in October 2021. She won "Best First Short Film", Viewer's Top Choice Award" and the film is nominated for Best Canadian short film within the TINFF. She had her Director debut in 2021 for the short film she wrote "Believe It or Not which is currently submitting to film festivals. She played lead roles in numerous TV shows like See No Evil, Tracking Sasquatch, Big Trick Energy on networks Netflix, Hulu, TruTV, Wild TV and Investigation Discovery. Recently, she played a reporter in the film "Bloody Romeo", and screened at the Apollo Theatre in Kitchener, ON 2021. The film "Bloody Romeo" won International Independent Film Awards "Platinum winner" in Hollywood, won Best Feature film at the European Cinematography Awards 2021 and the film is selected in the Asian Film festival and nominated for Golden Diamond Awards. Currently, Shaleen is writing a SCI- FI/Romance novel and children's books. She is looking to connect with other artists and to share more wonderful experiences on set for numerous projects.
