About Jennifer

Film/TV/Theater/Commercial

Ms. Snowdon’s expertise in Hi-def make-up can be described as a culmination of years of practice, realizing the importance of attention to detail in technique and simplicity in design to capture character essence. A versatile, and energetic professional, Ms. Snowdon has worked in film, TV, theatre, and commercials in both Canada and the United States. Martha Pinson, director of King Alive(2006), starring actor, Craig Alan Edwards, described Ms. Snowdon’s character make-up as ‘extraordinary’ and ‘even with the unforgiving clarity of 24p cameras, even with extreme close-ups, she transformed an actor and created an effect that was stunning.’

Committed to the spirit of independent film, Ms. Snowdon’s notable film credits as Key Make-up artist include: The Beautiful Kid (2003), Racing Daylight (2007), starring Oscar winner Melissa Leo and David Strathairn, The Northern Kingdom (2007), Split Ends (2009), and Gun Hill Road (2011), starring Esai Morales and Judy Reyes. Most recently, Ms. Snowdon had the honor of doing Ellen Burstyn’s makeup for the film, Touched by Duse, which is now in production, and set for international release.

In addition to corporate and commercial shoots, Reality Shows, ESPN, OLN and work for Publicists’ clients, Jennifer is also Media Makeup Trainer for Layton Communications, teaching CEO’s makeup technique for television and press.
