Success Stories: SEP'4 Stage 32 again makes a great connection!

Stage 32 again makes a great connection!

Upon returning from my final shoot for my next Feature Length Documentary "Mission Angels", I've landed a great talent to help score the film. His name is Massimo Restaino Max. Young music artist from the UK. I'm located in Redondo Beach, CA and would have never thought I'd be connected to such talent. We have agreed to work together on this project, a project that takes audiences on a journey to Ethiopia, Swaziland, Pretoria, Johannesburg; Africa as well as Saigon, Da Nang and the Bru Villages of Communist Vietnam. A journey that will shine a bright spot light on people that put their lives on the line to fill needs and provide for others. I'm so thankful for Stage 32 and the possibilities this great resources always provides.

Richard "RB" Botto

Mark, this is fantastic, my friend. Thank you so very much for sharing this. The project sounds simply amazing. Also sounds like the journey was epic and rewarding. Can't wait to see it!

Jackie Penn

Mark. I'm glad to hear of your success and read about your upcoming doc. Tiana Silliphant was the first filmmaker allowed in communist Vietnam (North Vietnam) and in some of the same places you mention, in 1988. Her project is From Hollywood To Hanoi. I'm interested in seeing how things have changed over the years.

Mark Jacobs

Richard, thanks so much for your encouraging words! Looking forward to the next step. Going to reach out through Kickstarter for final pick ups, post and marketing financial support. Never have I done Kickstarter so we shall see! I spent 8 years making my first feature documentary "Jesse's Story" about Jesse Billauer (www.liferollson.org) a Quadriplegic pro surfer and learned a lot of lessons! If anyone out there would like a copy just write me and cover the shipping and I'll get one out to you. Better have tissue, it's compelling, inspiring and at times sad. Am thankful that it played numerous festivals as the opening film and won numerous Audience and Jury Awards for Best Doc. However, nothing is more rewarding than watching an audience react to your story and the lessons learned along the way. Changing lives through storytelling is just an amazing profession and gift to have.

Mark Jacobs

Jackie! Thanks for the info! Good to know someone else has made the trek and returned with compelling footage. I know From Hollywood to Hanoi well.

Richard "RB" Botto

Mark...Wow...8 years. Now that's a labor of love right there. I'd love to see it. Sounds remarkable. I'll have to grab a copy from you one of these days... Love the drive, Mark. Inspiring on every level.

Andrea Thompson
