Hello Stage 32!
As you know, it has been a wild week here on Stage 32. Last Friday, due to Coronavirus concerns, SXSW was officially canceled. Since then, hundreds of filmmakers who were eagerly awaiting recognition, exposure, and opportunities found themselves scrambling for recourse. On Monday, we announced that we were offering a solution to help the filmmakers that were displaced by the cancellation.
The support and media coverage has been overwhelming and awe-inspiring as the indie film community all over the world came together during this uncertain time in the industry. As more and more events and festivals are getting canceled, the entertainment industry is actively looking for ways to keep things running. The folks over at Variety have put together a list of how to stay active and involved in the industry - hand sanitizer not required.
Our digital film festival tops this list, along with companies offering digital webinars in lieu of live panels, virtual upfronts and more. Click below to read more!
Official Selection SXSW 2020 filmmakers can submit their films to screen for our network of distributors, sales agents, development execs, managers, agents, producers and more at www.stage32.com/screenings
