At the TriBeCa Film Festival 2015, Stage 32 paired up with Film Interchange for a fantastic Filmmakers Lounge. During the evening, we had two excellent panels on using social media as a filmmaker and crowdsourcing & crowdfunding your film, which included industry executives from Stage 32, Film Interchange, Indiegogo and Seed & Spark on the panels. Over 400 Stage 32 members RSVPed for the event and it was a smashing success.
However, we know not everyone was able to attend our Filmmakers Lounge live to learn from the panels. That is why Film Interchange Founder and CEO Jen Mello and our fearless leader, Richard RB Botto, recorded the panels so that you can learn from them right at home!
Today's video focuses on the important topic of How To Use Social Media As A Filmmaker. RB talks about why you need to share your content rather than promote it, what social platforms work for filmmakers and which ones do not, how to organize your content on all of your platforms at once, plus much, much more.
Our goal at Stage 32 is to provide you with as many free educational resources as possible, so no matter where you live or what your budget you can still learn from those working in the industry. We thank Jen Mello for collaborating with us toward our goal, for putting together our wonderful Filmmakers Lounge and for making this video accessible to us. The next interview will be available next week, so make sure to stayed tuned to the Blog!
