Happy Sunday Creative Army!

Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee and let's dive in.

First up, our friends over at Film Riot have put together a video about how to edit your next project faster and more efficiently. Specifically, this video lays out 10 tips for faster editing that covers everything from organizing your files to adding special effects.

Next up, the folks over at StudioBinder recently shared an in depth look inside the directing style of David Fincher. In a series of interview clips, Fincher (Mank, Gone Girl, Se7en) talks about all aspects of his directing process from creating a look/feeling through production design and music to how to direct with precision.

The Film Riot video on editing and the David Fincher directing video both taught me to be more specific in action lines “to see what you want to see, and limit things you don’t want to see,” as Finch says. That advice will help me immensely from here on out! Thanks so much, all!

Thank you for sharing. Editing is a beast I have yet to tackle. It’s such a good skill set to have though.

Mr Fincher has a great respect for his audience! Love the way he talks about responsibility. It kind of explains why there are so many takes as he is filming. Yes! If you have an expensive set, it makes sense to take everything out of it. Today it's gonna be sunny and warm - meaning Ice Latte Sunday! Have a Dragon Tattooish one!
