Coffee & Content: 5 Tips For Framing Cinematic Shots
Coffee & Content: 5 Tips For Framing Cinematic Shots
Happy Sunday, Creative Army!
Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee, and let's dive in.
First up, we're looking at taking your project's visuals to the next level with framing in this video from In Depth Cine. There are certain framing styles that everyone is taught, and then there are the ones you mimic as you emulate the filmmakers you love and are trying to find your own style. But framing something for cinematic impact is more than knowing what looks good. You have to think about the shot's purpose and the effects on the audience, which is what this great video digs into.
Next, we're looking back at the little romantic comedy that took Sundance by storm several years ago and is still one of the most talked about success stories: PALM SPRINGS. In this interview from Indie Film Hustle, you'll get the behind-the-scenes story from director Max Barbakow. The film would break the record to become the largest film sale at Sundance Film Festival, and this interview allows you to see what happens in a bidding situation like the one Max was in.
