Thomas is an award-winning writer-director-producer. At the age of 17, he created, wrote, and starred-in cult comedy series Y B NORMAL?, which ran for two seasons on the Comedy Network. He has since written and produced nine feature films: cult comedy GREG & GENTILLON; international cult hit HANK AND MIKE; his directorial debut RUNNING MATES; sci-fi thriller MAN VS.; survival thriller BACKCOUNTRY (world premiere at TIFF, where it sold to IFC, becoming their highest grossing film of 2015); thriller NOWHERE TO BE FOUND (which Thomas directed) - nominated for four Canadian Screen Awards, winning the award for Best Lead Performance; GIRL, starring Bella Thorne and Mickey Rourke, released by Universal Pictures; MARRY ME THIS CHRISTMAS (highest rated original for Bounce TV); and most recently THE BAKER, a dramatic thriller starring Ron Perlman, Harvey Keitel, and Elias Koteas, directed by Jonathan Sobol.
Currently in development: dramatic comedy OUT LATE and western thriller DEVIL YOU KNOW. On the TV front, Thomas has sold and developed series for ABC, CTV, and SHOWCASE; and currently has several series in active development with production companies and networks.
