Cannes is next week! As you all know Stage 32 has has worked directly with and have had an official presence at the Cannes Film Festival Marche du Film for the last 5 years.
Also, for the 3rd straight year, Stage 32 is the official education workshop partner of Cannes and the Marche. This year, our role has expanded even further as we'll be helping to bring more of our executives and educators to the festival and conference. In addition every Cannes attendee will be receiving a free Stage 32 webinar.
But wait, there's more. On May 17th, Stage 32 Managing Director Amanda Toney and I will be presenting an exclusive panel - How to Build Your Following and Brand Through Social Media and Crowdsourcing. (We will be citing case studies from my book, available in paperback and e-book format here and available as an audiobook for FREE here.)
Finally, we have one more exciting announcement. Those who have attended Cannes over the last 5 years know that the Stage 32 Cannes Meetup/Party has been one of the most anticipated and fun events of the entire fest (still offering apologies to those who got shut out of our rooftop party a few years ago!). This year, we're thrilled to announce another partnership and venue. Stage 32 is now partners with the American Pavilion. As a result, our 2019 Cannes Stage 32 Meetup will be held at the historic American Pavilion venue on the banks of the Bay of Cannes. The party will be the official first Friday night programming event for Am Pav. We couldn't be more proud to have them as a partner.
If you're attending Cannes, let's start the official roll call. We (and the producers and executives we work with who will be at the fest) are specifically interested in knowing:
- What dates will you be attending?
- What brings you to Cannes?
- What projects do you have screening or are you bringing to the market?
- Are you planning on attending any workshops or events? If so, which ones?
- What are your goals during the Cannes Film Festival?
Last year, Stage 32 members from 4 countries had dozens of short films and features screen at the festival. This year, Stage 32 member Michel Merkt alone, is part of the producing team of seven films as official selections competing for the Palme d’Or!!
Do you have a film screening at the festival? Let us know in the comments section below!
We look forward to hearing from you!
And don't forget, if you are attending, we hosted a free, exclusive webinar with the head executives of the Marche on how to navigate the festival/market, which is now available On Demand here.
Please make sure to mark your calendars for our events!
How to Stand out From the Crowd - Building Your Following Through Social Media and Crowdsourcing
