Hello fellow Stage 32 Community Members! It is with great pleasure that Fake ID Productions and Skiptown Playhouse invites you to our brand new event, SCRIPT SHUFFLE, hosted by the talented duo, Anthony Leyva and Jasmin Please. SCRIPT SHUFFLE is an exciting evening of live readings of scripts, designed specifically for writers, performers, directors, producers, and anyone else who is passionate about the art of storytelling. Here's how it works: writers submit ten pages of one or several of their works, and we select five pieces to be performed live on stage at Skiptown Playhouse in Los Angeles. Actors who want to perform will be cast on the spot and get to read these scripts, bringing the writers' words to life. It's an excellent exercise in cold-reading and a fantastic opportunity for writers to hear what works and what needs adjusting, while getting immediate feedback from a live audience! If you're interested in submitting your 10 pages, all you need to do is email us at firstname.lastname@example.org before March 15th at midnight. If you're an ACTOR, Please note that if you don't buy your ticket prior to the event, we cannot guarantee that you'll get to perform. However, we will always do our best to get as many people up on stage as possible! If you just want to attend, to support these artists - you are very welcome also :) You can purchase your ticket here on eventbrite, or you can buy one at the door. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to showcase your talent, network with other creatives, and celebrate the art of storytelling. We look forward to seeing you at SCRIPT SHUFFLE!

Hey LA-based creators! We're meeting up for another killer happy hour at The Phoenix in Los Angeles! We're heading back to The Phoenix in Los Angeles for the next round! Join Stage 32 Community Manager Kay Ross and Blog Editor Emily J. for an evening of conversation with your fellow directors, screenwriters, producers, and other creatives. The event starts at 6pm on the back patio, and goes til 9pm. See you there! If you've never been to this location before, I would highly recommend parking in the garage across the street (for Target and T.J. Maxx) at 100 N. La Cienega Blvd. Also, in years past, we've been able to accept donations so our networking events can do twice the good of normal industry parties. This year, we would love to accept any canned or packaged foods to donate to the LA Food Bank! When you check in with me, or Kay as you enter, we'll have a box to accept food donations: hot or cold cereals, dry and canned beans, canned soups, stews, peanut butter, tuna, and canned fruits and vegetables. Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated! And then you'll have your hands free to grab a drink and a snack and get networking! Be sure to tag @stage32 @stage32scripts @EmilyJWrites and @k.osswrites on any of your social posts as well so everyone knows where the #Stage32 #PartyforGood is!
