Hey guys. For the 2nd straight year, Stage 32 has been invited to the Marche du Film NEXT program at the Cannes Film Festival. NEXT highlights companies bridging the gap between entertainment and tech, such as Netflix and Amazon, and we're thrilled and honored to be a featured company once again.
In addition to opening the NEXT program with a panel, we have a number of parties and meetups planned throughout the fest. We'll be announcing the lineup shortly right here on the Stage 32 Blog.
In the meantime, we'd love to hear from all the Stage 32 members who are planning on attending the fest along with those who will have films playing in the festival. Last year 22 Stage 32 members had films screen at Cannes. You can read about it on Indiewire here.
We'll get the ball rolling by announcing my dear friend and Stage 32 member (who shall remain anonymous) has 7 films in Cannes this year including 4 films in competition for the Palme d'Or! FOUR! An incredible and worthy accomplishment!
So if you're headed to Cannes 2016 and/or have a film playing at the festival, please let us know in the Comments section below!
We (and the producers and executives we work with who will be at the fest) are specifically interested in knowing:
- What dates will you be attending?
- What brings you to Cannes?
- What projects do you have screening or are you bringing to the market?
- Are you planning on attending any workshops or events? If so, which ones?
- What is your goal during the Cannes Film Festival?
A number of producers and executives asked us specifically to mention that you update your profiles with the most recent information so they know everything about you!
I look forward to seeing those attending on the Croisette!
