P.O.V. shot (point-of-view shot)

P.O.V shot, also known as a point-of-view shot, is a subjective shot made from the perspective of one of the characters to show the audience the scene as it would look through the character's eyes; usually coupled (before and/or after) with a reaction shot (or a three-shot sequence called a "shot-reverse shot") to establish the POV; also known as first-person point-of-view shot or subjective camera (the use of the camera to suggest the POV of a particular character).
