Film (short) by Kelvin Bernards (Drama) Director, writer, producer, actor, and prop maker In September 2023, I wrote this story at the very last minute without taking the time to know the kind of story or develop the themes I actually wanted to tell. It's my first time writing a story. I hardly understood what a screenplay, themes, and a mood board were at the time. I just follow whatever I see of how these filmmakers do. I even wrote, acted, shot, and edited everything myself without going to film school. Due to limited resources, I managed to utilize every single resource I had, either at home or at art supply stores. As of October 30, 2025, I know how to develop characters and storylines, create a mood board, and block scenes. I learned from watching YouTube videos and doing Google searches on how short/feature films work and composition more than I did in 2023.
