Brenda Ryan

As a screenwriter, I've written two first draft screenplays and am in the process of the several rewrites. Both are Murder Dramas, not Thrillers. I have several additional projects in the queue. My life's experiences have given me much to draw upon.

I started college at age of 16 simultaneously with finishing high school… before Running Start was conceived. I put myself through college, Florida State University (1976) with the help of Army ROTC and ultimately became an Army Captain. I went on to become the Army's First female Mohawk Pilot of a twin engine reconnaissance airplane. I also flew helicopters and several other airplanes.

After the military, I became a Stock Broker for Shearson 'Lehman Bros'… yes, the one that went bust in 2008 (but before then). I've been a Certified Financial Planner, Adopted 3 + 1 natural son who I homeschooled all (and Acted as an Extra numerous times for a break) , a Boy Scout Executive Assistant for a very large council and published the council newsletter, an owner and operator of a hay and yak ranch and wrote articles. I remembered that I wrote for the Army Public Affairs Office when I was in Flight School and took my life-long dabble into my vocation with a move to Australia to pursue my screenwriting dreams. I seem to always accomplish what I set out to do… so I persist.
