About Christina

I was born in Staten Island, NY. Moved to several different states, and Cuba aka Gitmo before settling in Miami. Started writing noteworthy compositions in third grade. I knew it fulfilled me, but it also defined me. I got 'C's in english with grammer and spelling corrections; ah, but my concepts were always HC. That's where the substance, the connection comes making my hero human, or my underdog courageous . Besides it was just high school. Washington may have cut the Cherry Tree down. But I lied to get jobs starting at fourteen,,then I was fifteen and so on. Then I quickly knew that currency was directly related to freedom. It was fun.

Fresh out of school, I worked in surgey and office for a plastic surgeon. I couldn't begin to say the number of cases I assisted on. I penned a Chapter on Plastic surgery nursing; published by 'Mosby". After ten years, it was 'burn out'. So, I got into Perfusion School at UTHSC working open heart surgery at Texas Heart Institue. Now these guys are true artists. Because they make it look easy..they love it .. saving lives, holding someones heart; and pop quizzing the residents. Great. The missing piece was, it wasn't me creating. So dare me. I left and wrote my first screenplay, at least 18 times. Called on the job training without pay. Also known as a Spec script.

I've always had this burning desire to create stories that lived on after 'Fade to Black'. My first. Script was optioned, my second, won Platinum at WorldFest Houston Film Festival. Written some animated shorts. Few songs, and countless drafts of concepts needing cutting.
My current project is 'Based on a true story '. A real life contender in 1925 Madison Square Garden. That was the last fight in that MSG, it was torn down for Garden #3. This is not a boxing film. It's about the truth and my working title
"Man in the Arena" an excerpt of a speech Theodore Roosevelt gave in Paris in 1910. It begins: To the critic's.
This came to me in a way "I have to write it. So I have realtime and life in the dawn of 1900's excited to have its buried truth come to light. Then it will be the people's picture. That's all that they can ask. Can they.

Unique traits: Independent ; Strong POV, appreciate people that have opinions; friendly banter. Need freedom and enjoy brainstorming, long road trips, decorating, history, words, placing words in the perfect order to achieve a visceral response from the reader. I write for the reader/audience .Promise them a story; and deliver them more. If they don't get it, I didn't do my job. Watching other peoples quirks. Create environment in my writing space that supports the era, genre, character development of the story at hand. Look, listen, and look both ways when crossing the street. Intense, deep questioning of whats not written. The thought behind the thought.Observing what motivates people.... Creates deeper characters. Love sunrises on Miami Beach (because it's voluntary) Shakespeare. People that ask questions. And observing my personal and storytelling transformation; and AHA moments!!! Oh, and a good sale*
