Hi! My name is Chris Cotten. I'm a Los Angeles, CA based, NON - Union Actor. My passions are firstly Acting and Photography, with aspirations of eventually also becoming a professional Cinematographer and Producer.
I also work in concert touring with Universal Music Group Artists as an Audio Engineer or Production Manager, and sometimes Tour Manager. I am trying to switch careers full time, and get involved in the L.A. world of acting in Film / TV, and Theatre.
I love to meet like minded people and hopefully collaborate on projects.
I used to live in NYC, but moved to Los Angeles two & half years ago in 2012. I'm an American that was born in Saudi Arabia, and grew up living mainly in France and England, but also USA, Borneo, and Dublin, Ireland.
I was in theatre programs and choir in school, before discovering music and pursuing it pretty much full time for a few years, eventually touring professionally as a Bass Player.
My face was sketched and used as the face of Tarzan in the Walt Disney animated feature film, Tarzan.
Years later, after I moved to NYC, I began studying acting in 2009 at Stella Adler Studios, but found it to be more institutionalized. So, I opted then to go on to do a conservatory program at T. Schreiber Studios. In Los Angeles, I study with Risa Bramon Garcia and Steve Braun.
In NYC, I was cast in commercials and a music video as a Bass player for a Latin pop Singer on Columbia Records.
I was cast as a Principle Actor in BBC Inside The Human Body, via video audition from NYC to London, UK. Through that job, I was recommended by Producers for a Principle role on Nat Geo's Naked Science: Living In A Parallel Universe, which we filmed in NYC's Grand Central Station and also up in Buffalo, NY's now derelict Buffalo Central Station.
