About Ciara

With 4 years experience working in the Australian film and television environment as production coordinator, Producer, and crew roles including 2nd and 3rd AD, I am passionate, creative, resourceful and dedicated. I use the skills and tools I have available and innovate where necessary, to produce the best possible work within available budget and time frames. I am a creative thinker constantly pushing to produce engaging story/content and I’m able to differentiate what will help drive the premise forward.

I enjoy writing, and am confident putting together pitch packages, treatments, releases and deal memos for all areas, including advertising, film projects, social media and press releases.

In 2015 Australian period drama short I produced AFTRS student Vanessa Gazy, Foal, was selected for the 2016 Flickerfest film festival. The film required research into story, history and location for both authenticity and shoot logistics in the Canberra region. The film has since screened at a number of of other national and international festivals and will next be screening at St Kilda Film Festival 2016

As full time Production Coordinator at Photoplay Films I have assisted some of the best Producers in Australian TVC production, working in a fast pace environment and meeting tight deadlines. A major part of my role was quoting, booking and organising logistics for multiple productions. Laying down the groundwork for production at all stages, and helping it to run smoothly, and I have been the sole coordinator for over 30 successfully pitched TVC spots, from full scale international and interstate Projects, like Cadbury ‘Hairdresser’ shot in Prague, and Airbnb’s ‘A Different Paris’ ?v=BBcKLDUw61w which involved months of prep for the zoetrope and live action shoot, to other smaller charity productions such as MND’s ‘The Fading Symphony’ .
In 2015 my music video Shipwrecked was selected for the Australian Independent Music Video Awards 2014, and awarded for Best Cinematography, and was also screened in New York, nominated for Best Music Video at the Winter Film Awards in 2015.
