About Dale

Dale Neven is an optioned screenwriter, fresh off directing his first feature film, Unwritten, a sci-fi, supernatural thriller, starring up-and-coming, talented actors, plus veteran actor, Lorenzo Lamas (Falcon Crest, Renegade).

Dale is a proud alum of the Act One screenwriting program, where he was taught by screenwriters and producers, such as: Bill Marsilii (Deja Vu), Lee and Janet Batchler (Batman Forever, Pompeii), Ed Solomon (Men in Black, Now You See Me) Dave McFadzen (What Women Want) and director Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange). After completing the program, he continued his pursuit of mastering the craft of screenwriting under the mentorship of Chris Riley (Screenwriter and author of "The Hollywood Standard") on his psychological thriller script, "Broken Reality," which was a semi-finalist in the FADE IN: screenwriting contest and was also optioned by In the Light Entertainment.
Dale's filmmaking journey began as a kid - making short films, followed by film school (where he won Best Experimental Film) and more than a decade working in video production (writing, directing, shooting, lighting and editing) and working on feature films in various positions: P.A., set dresser, grip, dolly grip, and as an assistant editor on "It's Showtime at the Apollo."
Dale is currently in post production on Unwritten, in negotiations to write and direct a movie based on an autobiographical book and in development on his passion project, a teen sci-fi/fantasy film.

Unique traits: Writing and directing high concept stories on a low budget with the quality and professionalism of a big budget feature
