About Danna
I began experimenting with electronic cameras when I was 10 years old. The creativity it takes to make a film, such as writing, editing, producing and directing, is where my talent and passion intersect. At age 16, I directed my first serious short film, La Promesa (The Promise), which illustrates the power of dreams. I entered it into the Bogota Film Festival, where it won for best short film.
I have had many formative work and internship opportunities as a video assistant, graphic designer, and videographer. Through these experiences I have learned the skillsets, aptitudes, and knowledge required for a dynamic, innovative production team. Additionally my bachelor's degrees in film production and animation, with a minor in graphic communications is near completion. My education has been complimented by learning the latest technology. Education and technological proficiency are essential elements but the most important thing I learned while getting my degree was to create impactful films through teamwork. In 2015, I won two awards at the university's Juried Film Exhibition, including the award for Best Written Film for Pensamento (Thought), a film I wrote and directed, and the award for Best in Show for Easy Speaking, which I served as the director of photography.
The university has represented a beginning of my journey to be a director, and I now seek being guided by the best in the industry. I believe this internship would be the ideal setting for learning both directorial and teamwork skills. With my current experience I can provide quality work for any production I undertake.
The key ingredient of all my films is passion, and I work tirelessly until I complete a film that meets my high standards of producing a work that I feel pride in. I view every film created as a brand new experience, a unique, and sacred learning opportunity, exposing me to new technology and effects that fully communicates my vision. My career goal of being a director is led by my passion to bring stories to life in television and movies.
