About David

From my background in classical training, I turned my passion into the composition of film music, gaining an M.A in Scoring for Film and Visual Media at Pulse College and
Dublin Institute of Technology, based in Windmill Lane Recording Studios, Dublin.

During that time I studied under prominent international tutors such as Richard Bellis, Derek Gleeson, Andy Hill, Greg Magee, Conrad Pope, Gary Schyman, Christopher Young.

I am passionate about composing music for film and focussing on the essence of every story; the characters, the motivation, the emotion, the pace and the world in which it all unfolds.

Unique traits: Original and highly creative, flexible and sensitive. Constantly aware of the story, and the role music plays in the telling of the story. Getting to the heart of the narrative is always the first step. Quality not quantity, and always do your best regardless of the renumeration.
