Aspiring screen writer.

I'm keen to link up with other writers to share skills and just bounce ideas around to help inspire each other.

Usual stuff: Have written several shorts over the years as I've got to learn the craft and completed the dreaded (dreadful?) first full length script which was a steep learning curve for me. As is often the case with first attempts it wasn't the best ( I really like the beginning and end. The second act meanders ) but was still a good buzz creating that world.
So that's the first one down.
I really took from that an opportunity to develop a discipline to just sit down and get it done which I find can be the hardest part at first.
I can now take that into my next script and focus on buidling a good story plus it gives me another chance to learn something new.
I'm currently taking my time developing one now before I jump straight into the actual screenplay aspect.

Taste wise : I really like genre movies but not just standard genre stories. I'm especially excited in developing those types of crossbreed genre stories. I find it opens up more creative opportunities for both character and story and helps give a fresh insight into cliched tropes.

I'm not sure if that was too much info or not enough to be honest. Maybe I focused on the wrong things...I can always add more in later if your profile reads better than mine.
