Humberto Arechiga, born in the city of La Paz, Baja California Sur. Mexico August 9th, 1961. Attended the University of Arizona.
Mr. Arechiga worked as Director of International and National Purchasing, for Aero California Air Lines. From 1985 to 2008.
During his tenure at Aero California, he produced via his production company, Ocixem Producciones, S.A. de C.V. La Vida Conyugal, "Conjugal Life" 1994 Mexico. Earning 8 nominations to the Ariel by Mexico's Academy of Motion Pictures, including nomination for Best Picture.
-The Ariel is Mexico's version of the Oscar- La Vida Conyugal, "Conjugal Life" film won four of the eight nominations, including Best Director. Director Carlos Carreras, "The Crime of Padre Amaro".
Consecuently Humberto Arechiga followed up his first effort with Hasta Morir "Tll Death" staring Oscar nominated Actor Damian Bichir the following year. Hasta Morir earned 9 Ariel nominations.
Produced Elephant White written by Kevin Bernhardt March 2010, with Director Prachya Pinkaew, and financed by Nu Image/Millennium Films, Staring two time Academy Award Nominee Djimon Hounsou and Kevin Bacon, budgeted at 10 million dollars.
