I had an account here before and found myself to be out of the loop, but I'm back!
For those of you who I've not had the pleasure of exchanging words with, my name's Jessica and I'm a novice screenwriter and aspiring cinematographer out of Hamilton, Ontario.
My love of film came to be at the age of 9 when I sat myself down in front of a certain work by M. Night Shyamalan. My love of writing came to be at the age of 18 when I started adapting a bio piece (Chaplin, the final draft in near completion). My love of cinematography came to be at the age of 20, for which I'd like to thank Roger Deakins and Stuart Dryburgh for their work.
From the Stage 32 community, and especially the film community within Canada, I'd like to take the opportunity to put myself out there and get as much practice as I can through collab projects, or the opportunity to observe local and international filmmakers. I'm in the process of putting together a documentary piece from personal experience with mental illness, which will be my first take on filmmaking.
