Jackai is a journalist, writer and actor from the Republic of Cameroon, Central Africa. He earned a Master's degree in Writing Studies from Saint Joseph's University (Philadelphia, USA) in May 2007, and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting with a minor concentration in Journalism from Temple University (also in Philadelphia) in August 2002. The short film "English as a His first novel "International Student Part One: Journey to America," a comedy about an African student who travels to the United States for college and in the process becomes exposed to the extremes of its society, was published in September 2014 by Verity Publishers, South Africa, after being rejected 120 times by literary agents and publishers worldwide. He plays the main character of the story, John Malinke.
English as a Third Language
Film (short) by AG COM Productions/Neba Lawrence John Malinke John Malinke, an African student from the Republic of Boluake in Central Africa, is required to take a course called "English as a Third Language," designed for students who can barely understand a word in the language and who must pass the course prior to taking regular classes at Rodeoville University in Philadelphia, USA. The teacher, Carlson, is a frustrated, depressed male who wonders why he got chosen to teach the course. He makes fun of his students, assuming none of them understands a word he's saying.
