Make no mistake, I'm in it for the long haul.
I've been focused on writing scripts since I finished grad school in 2008 when I earned a master's degree in Criminal Forensics Studies, Behavioral Analysis studying under Dr. Duane Dobbert, one of the world's leading experts on sexual predators, lust homicide, and pedophiles. I also worked as the assistant to forensic anthropologist Heather Walsh-Haney. My job was to macerate - basically "cook" the corpse - remove all the flesh, then reassemble the skeleton and examine every bone for identifiers - grim business, but it was never dull. That, coupled with my adventures working death investigations for the local medical examiner's office, enables me to tap a depth of knowledge and experience for my scripts. Thrillers and true crime are my thing. You could say I'm a writer on the dark side. Don’t let the sweet smile fool you.
With three features, a one-hour drama, an adaptation, and a three-part, six-hour true crime miniseries already written, my craft has improved to the point where I was able to make the Nicholl Semifinals in 2011 and 2015. I've also placed highly in PAGE INT'L and the Austin Film Festival contests. My future projects include two action thrillers, a bio pic, and a half hour sitcom. There are also a half dozen books I’d like to option and adapt for the screen.
Originally from New Rochelle, NY, I graduated from Iona College with a Bachelor’s in English Lit. As someone who went to school before Al Gore invented the Internet, I learned to do research the old – fashioned way using (actual physical) books. I’m a lifelong reader. Currently, I live in South West Florida but now I'm ready to make a big move! My plan is to relocate to LA at the end of 2016.
