About Juliana
Hello my name is Juliana Acosta. I was born and raised in Houston, Tx., but for the past thirteen years Southern California has been my home. I am a SAG-AFTRA member and am bilingual in English and Spanish.
In the past thirteen years I have grown and matured so much, not only as an artist but also as a person. My most rewarding accomplishments are:
* October 2019- Stage directorial debut with “A Crime in the Madhouse” by Mel Gordon (Produced and directed independently.)
* July 2017- Performance in Santa Paula Theatre Center's “The Birds” directed by Jeff G. Rack
* May 2016- Wrote, produced and directed short film "Her Delusion"
* September 2014- Performance in Flying H Theatre's “The Motherfu*ker with the Hat” directed by Taylor Kasch
* July 2013- Curated the Happy Birthday Frida!! art show in Ventura, CA
* February 2013- Produced a stage reading of “The Calibrated Heart” written by Elixeo Flores
* October 2011- Performance in Teatro de las Americas' “Adan, Eva y la Otra” directed by Angela Cruz
I proudly play a sexy Latina next door type (Is that a type?) to a cool school teacher. Speaking of teachers, two teachers I love to study with are Felicia Lewis and Taylor Kasch. Felicia is not only an amazing teacher but is also my friend and mentor.
