Marcia Lyons began training as an actor in NYC and continued to study in Los Angeles. She has worked on both coasts, Europe and NZ, as an independent character actor, writer and director. She is a recipient of the prestigious Rome Prize for performance and film. Lyons' work shows a wide range of influences from the Neo-noir to contemporary Pop culture and pulp. "I have a real affinity for lyrical, weathering and moody atmospheres. My fictional landscapes inhabited by misfits and lost souls, literally or emotionally, I like to think, have a cinematic quality; shifting perspectives and chronologies that refuse to sit still." As a freelance writer and director, I am contracted to create projects for film, television, and digital distribution. Lyons is currently based in Los Angeles.
