Mark Saunders writes short, humorous pieces befitting his height and attention span. He is a former winner of the Walden Fellowship, awarded to three Oregon writers each year. Dozens of his short plays have been staged from California to New York to Mexico, and two of his plays (Who’s on Faust? and Playthings) have been published by Smith and Kraus. Back in his drawing days, more than 500 of his cartoons were published nationally, in publications as diverse as The San Jose Mercury News, Writer’s Digest, The Saturday Evening Post, and Twilight Zone Magazine. With five feature film scripts and two short scripts optioned, as well as a television pilot, his scripts have garnered insignificant awards and even less money.
