About Mark

Mark is an award-winning film director and artist. He studied fine art at Goldsmiths College and film production at the Royal College of Art. His RCA graduation film was selected for the Berlin International Film Festival. Mark went on to direct films for television including FREEZE the innovative first film on Damien Hirst and the new wave of YBA’s for BBC 1. Since then Mark has filmed, directed and edited many film and television programmes, including films on pop stars Dave Stewart, Bryan Ferry, Phil Collins as well as the revolutionary dance choreographer Trisha Brown - Picasso, Matisse and Van Gogh. Mark was co-director on the feature film VAMPIRE DIARY that won 4 awards at the Milan International Film Festival, including Best Film. More recently Mark directed, filmed and edited A BIPOLAR EXPEDITION a feature documentary for Channel 4's True Stories as well as 3D dance spectacular DANCE DANCE DANCE for Sky Arts that won a 3D Society International Award. Mark is working on a number of feature film and documentary projects. He has exhibited his paintings in group and solo shows in New York and London. His paintings can be seen in a number of collections including that of The Groucho Club, London. Mark's most recent film STUDIO 17:THE LOST REGGAE TAPES was premiered on BBC 4 in 2019 and was an official selection of the Nashville Film Festival 2019 and the Pan African Film Festival, LA 2020.
