About Mauricio

NYC based and Chilean-born Actor/Singer/Dancer and Interior Designer, Mauricio Villalobos (his middle name is Alejandro) spent the majority of his childhood in White Lake, NY nestled deep in the majestic Catskill Mountains in Sullivan County. He has performed professionally onstage for over 25 years, most notably on Broadway in the 1998 Revival of CABARET at Studio54 where he has the distinction of being among only 17 actors since 1966 to have performed the role of Ernst Ludwig in the major productions of the show, European Tours: FAME -The Musical where he originated the role of violinist Schlomo Metzenbaum with Wolfgang Bosch Productions, National Tours: JM Barre's Peter Pan with 360 Entertainment from the original London production. Recordings: BCEFA Carols For a Cure 2000, FAME-Das Tanzmusical Original European US Cast Recording. Extensive Regional Theatre, Off-Broadway and Summer Stock credits. Syracuse Stage, San Diego Repertory Theatre, TheatreWorks, Contra Costa Musical Theatre, Atmos Theatre Co., The Forestburgh Playhouse, Allenberry Playhouse, New Bedford Festival Theatre, Lakes Region Summer Theatre, Ma-Yi Theatre Co., BALAM Dance Theatre, Upstairs at Studio54, Delaware Valley Opera, Nesin Cultural Arts, San Diego Youth Theatre, Each One Reach One, Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop, American Place Theatre. Mr. Villalobos attended Syracuse University from 1992-1996 where he studied Musical Theatre and also for Choral Studies at Skidmore College and SUNY Albany. Additionally, a proficient violinist, violist, choreographer, director and music composer. Studied voice with Steve Lutvak and Tony-Award winner Victoria Clark.
