In my teens, I took film production courses and acting lessons, as well as getting involved in the making of short films in my local area. My ambition at that point was to be a director.
My plans changed in my twenties and for the past ten years, I have worked in rap music, mainly writing and producing songs for artists from the UK, the US and France. Being around people from different cultures and walks of life have resulted in some valuable insights that have proved useful when it comes to creating worlds and characters.
In my thirties I moved back into filmmaking as a writer. I also used my studio engineering experience to record and mix sound and voiceovers for both films and documentaries. As well as this, I began volunteering at a local theatre where I help with the organization of productions.
My first script was a drama feature. I enjoyed writing it, however, for my next project I decided to work on a TV pilot and found that I enjoyed the process a lot more. Creating a detailed world and letting the viewer spend time with my characters in order to really get to know them in depth appealed to me. My upcoming projects are edgy 1hr dramas which is the format that most interests me and suits my writing style and views on life. Writing has now taken over my life. I love what I do and have no plans to stop.
Lastly, a big thank you to those who send me a network request!
