Ourdia was born, and grew up, in France. She is the daughter of Algerian parents and the oldest of twelve children. In 2001, she moved to the United States.
Ourdia is a comedy and romantic-comedy writer who studied screenwriting through UCLA Professional Screenwriting Program. Her screenplays have placed in several competitions (Austin Film Festival, StoryPros International, Emerging Screenwriters, Stage 32, A Film Writer, Get It Made). Her comedy "What's The Holdup" was a finalist in the latest Stage 32 Comedy competition.
Ourdia loves to push the envelope in her scripts, and believes that comedy is a powerful and effective medium to tackle serious issues without being soap-boxy. Her career goal is to write, produce and direct entertaining and uplifting content.
She also wrote, produced and directed "You Wish" a short film based on one of her feature scripts. "You Wish" was selected by Burbank International Film Festival and the Portland Comedy Film Festival, a finalist in the Austin Comedy Film Festival, and a semi-finalist in the Cannes 7th Art Awards.
