About Tye

Tye Lombardi is a WGA screenwriter and DGA 2nd Assistant Director with over 50 credits to her name. She grew up in Boise Idaho and spent the first eighteen years of her life there writing, shooting, directing and editing short horror films starring her sister Kate, a large cast of both Barbie’s and miscellaneous action figures, and on occasion, her dogs. Her love of dark comedies and monster movies was encouraged by her loving family and their dedication to the weekly B-movie festivals on USA’s Up All Night and SyFy. While working for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival’s annual haunted house as a character, she discovered that nothing in life brought her pleasure quite like scaring the holy living crap out of other people and that the only way to make a (legal) living out of this odd passion was to go into film.
Following a brief stint sailing the seas with the Navy, Tye moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and began her career in the film industry. Her time on sets working on films and television gave her access to every department, allowing her to try her hand at being an assistant director, a prop maker, costume designer, and finally, a writer. Her writing credits include Staff Writer on season 3 of Z Nation as well as two years on the educational web series "The Wondergrove Kids" and "Swivet Zone." She has worked as a DGA assistant director on over 20 feature films and television shows including “The Shield,” “7th Heaven,” “Sons of Anarchy,” and most recently, the LA unit of “Sharknado 2.” Her costuming credits include the television show “Sons of Anarchy,” and the film “Cowboys & Engines” and Asylum’s cult hit “Sharknado 3.”
Tye has just finished her latest draft of her paranormal television pilot "The Deadbeat" and is currently making the competition and festival rounds with it.
She is often accompanied on set by her personal assistant and stunt-dog, Lucifur D. Whiskerbiscuits.

Unique traits: I am the Queen of thinking outside the box, working under pressure with grace and humor, and can kick apocalyptic butt like nobody's business. I've been voted "Most wanted to be partnered with in the Zombie Apocalypse" at every job I've held since 2002.
