About Adam

Adam Stern has worked in film and television for close to twenty years, primarily as a VFX Supervisor - creating the visual effects for dozens of shows and films alongside the team at Artifex Studios (

Recent work includes Falling Skies, Minority Report, Continuum, Man in the High Castle, and Almost Human, for which he received an Emmy nomination in 2014.

Adam has now turned his attention to telling his own stories, and is currently developing a number of new film and television projects primarily in the sci-fi genre.

The Adept is Adam’s first film as writer/director. In 2015 the film screened at a number of festivals around the world, including Raindance, Sci-Fi London, Seattle Short Film Festival, FilmQuest, First Glance Philadelphia and the Miami International Sci-fi Festival. The film has received a number of awards and nominations, including nominations for Best sci-fi short at FilmQuest and Honourable Mention at the Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival.
