About Evangelo

Award winning independent filmmaker and co-founder of Bad Bao Films (Hong Kong). I have recently relocated from Hong Kong to Tokyo. I have worked on a wide variety of projects including independent feature films, shorts, documentaries, music videos, experimental art videos, corporate videos and commercials.

Unique traits: As an independent filmmaker and freelance cinematographer, I am able to combine my engineering background, photography, lighting, art practice, art curating and love for cinema to create compelling visual story telling with the latest technology.

Cupboard Girl
Drama by Yue Ran (Drama) Editor Cupboard Girl is a Japanese psychological short film released in 2020. We follow Tsuki, an enigmatic teenage girl whose neglecting yet overprotective mother raised with a severe lack of social and survival skills. Tsuki's world swings between a naive childlike existence and being an independent adult. She tries to comprehend the fine line that separates reality from nightmare as she often takes refuge in her private little cupboard. This psychological and surreal drama was written and directed by Yue Ran and inspired by Ian McEwan's short story "Conversation with a Cupboard man".
