Crane Technique

Based in Minneapolis, Crane Technique is songwriter and music producer Paul Wheatley. He first gained prominence as the lead guitarist and back-up vocalist for the San Diego piano rock band, We Shot The Moon.

Crane Technique started as Wheatley's solo project in 2010, when he released his first single “Darling, Say Goodbye” (Broadcast Music, Inc.). Since moving from California, he brought the sun-drenched West Coast to the heartfelt Midwest. His music is laced with hooks and melodies, blending elements of vintage 80's nostalgia with modern electronic rock.

After much U.S. and international touring, he released numerous singles including a 5 song EP called Ghost White (Sonic Parcel Records, 2014). His tracks "Naked" and "Love U 4 It" both feature music producer Modern Longing and were released in the summer of 2017. In Fall of 2018, he released “Just 4 2Nite” which gained popularity on indie radio stations and topped college radio charts across the U.S. His latest single “Still In Love With You” was released in March of 2020 and is available digitally. ~ Katherine Fulton, Rovi
