About Denise

Denise Alessandra Ambroggio was born in Torino Italy on the 1st of December 1992.
From a very young age she was driven by a very strong need to understand what was surrounding her; an overwhelming curiosity about life and the world as she was perceiving it that drove her to a philosophical and artistic study of her surroundings. In 2015 she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Media Design & Multimedia Arts at Italy's most accredited College, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan. The strength and talent in her work achieved at NABA earned her a scholarship to attend the Santa Fe University of Art and Design in New Mexico where she wrote and directed her first short experimental film, worked as assistant camera on a feature film and acquired a certification for “Safety on Set”. It was in film that she had found her artistic voice.

Showing great promise and a vigorous work ethic, she was granted a second scholarship for an MA accelerated program at The New York Film Academy in Burbank, CA where she graduated in Film & Media Production.

She has worked on a variety of films, filling many different shoes from 1st Assistant Director to Production Designer, from Digital Imaging Technician to Assistant Camera. She has even been cast as the lead actress in many short films, all this lending to her passion, directing.

Her interest lies primarily in her character's psychology. In what is left unsaid. To convey what is truly being said between the lines.
